How to Interpret Alerts

Your app may show "High Water Usage" or "Unusual Water Events" alerts.

Here’s what they mean:

  • High Water Usage: A high-volume activity like a long shower, irrigation system, or pipe burst.

  • Unusual Water Usage: Detected drips or slow leaks—often unnoticeable otherwise, such as a unsealed toiler flapper.

These alerts are based on the custom thresholds you can set in your mobile app, based on flow rate and duration. Visit Menu > Notification Preferences.

What to do:

  • Click "Alert Details" to view the alert and the flow pattern associated with it

  • If you recognize the event: Go to Tag Event and label it

  • If it seems unusual: Tap “It’s a leak!”

Droplet’s AI improves with each tag you make—helping it send more accurate alerts over time.
