If your Droplet isn’t connecting to Wi-Fi during setup or goes offline, don’t worry — here are a few steps you can try to get it back online.
✅ Step-by-Step Fixes
1. Move Closer to Your Router
If possible, try moving Droplet to a spot on your main water line that’s closer to your Wi-Fi router (even temporarily).
This is especially helpful during initial setup.
2. Re-Enter Your Wi-Fi Credentials
In the app:
Go to Menu > Home Info > Wi-Fi
Select your network and re-enter your password
Make sure you’re using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network — Droplet is not compatible with 5 GHz-only setups
3. Power Cycle the Device
Unplug Droplet from the power outlet for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
📱 Workaround: Use a Mobile Hotspot
If you can’t get a strong signal at your installation site, here’s a temporary workaround:
Create a mobile hotspot on your smartphone using a 2.4 GHz network name and password
Connect Droplet to that hotspot using the app
Leave the hotspot running and let our support team know
This gets your device online so we can remotely access and help troubleshoot or calibrate it.
